Tanya Severski, CPA
Senior Audit Manager
What do you do in your free time/hobbies?
I enjoy spending time with my husband and our very energetic puppy. I love hosting friends over for dinner and visiting with them at Baylor University sporting events.
Why did you choose to major in accounting?
I chose accounting because of the many opportunities and career paths available. I enjoy solving problems and am very logical and rational; in my accounting classes, I realized these attributes were a great fit.
My goals are to not just do the work, but to continuously learn through the process. I have a desire to learn so I can share that knowledge with my clients and serve them well.
What do you like about the SST culture?
Saying the firm has a family atmosphere isn’t just words on paper – it is lived out. In the same way, there is truly an open door policy and management is always readily available to answer questions and work with the team.
Would you like to expand on why you choose to work at SST?
I was looking for a smaller firm with a Christian, family atmosphere, and I wanted to work with nonprofit organizations. SST is the perfect fit!
What is the most valuable lesson you have learned working at SST?
Working at SST has really helped me to develop my client relations skills and has taught me how to take responsibility for my work and feel proud of the work I accomplish.
