We want our clients to have access to their financial data – therefore we utilize two cloud accounting platforms – Intacct and QBO. This allows our clients to drill down to source documents that have been integrated within the platform.
We recommend Bill.com and American Express to our clients. Bill.com is a preferred vendor of the AICPA and provides companies the ability to process vendor and customer invoices. For processing credit cards and employee reimbursements we recommend one of the following: Nexonia, Tallie, Concur or Expensify. Employees or designated assistants are responsible for coding the credit card purchase. The transaction is then electronically routed to designated supervisors for review and approval. These transactions are then integrated seamlessly into the accounting platform.
Hosted platform is offsite and accessible through the 3rd party’s remote servers. The software is installed on a workstation and is typically accessed through the workstation. A Cloud-based platform is accessible through the Internet and does not require software to be installed on-site at a workstation.
A fractional CFO provides strategic financial support to organizations on a part-time, interim basis. Many small to mid-size nonprofit organizations cannot afford a full-time CFO, however they can hire an outsourced/fractional CFO to handle selected projects on an “as needed” basis.
We do not process payroll. We work with a number of payroll providers and allow our clients to choose their payroll provider.
We often have our clients assist us in uploading data to their new platform, allowing them to navigate and explore the new platform. While we build your platform our clients have the opportunity to attend selected webinars that provide orientation and training on financial transactions. After we have built and tested the platform we “onboard” our client giving them in-depth training conducted virtually and on-site. After the onboarding period we continue to be “on call” to provide the support you need to process and report your financial activity.
