Salmon Sims Thomas is delighted to welcome Tony Horani as the newest addition to the team.
Tony wasn’t born in Texas, but he got here as fast as he could after detours in Indiana and Syria. He grew up and went to school in Fort Wayne, but spent winter and summer vacations at his family residence in Damascus, Syria. He has a dual citizenship and is bilingual in English and Arabic.
He attributes much of his diverse skillset and cultural appreciation for that unique experience.
Horani joined Salmon Sims Thomas in May of this year as a Staff Auditor. After graduating from Indiana University with a B.S. in accounting and a sub-concentration in Biology, he decided to pursue his career in Public Accounting out of an interest for what he described as a stable profession with a track record of future earning potential. He says that auditing appealed to him for the ability to learn through exposure to multiple industries.
When asked about the Salmon Sims Thomas culture, he described most enjoying the professional atmosphere and the emphasis on personal and professional growth. He said the most valuable lesson he’s learned working at Salmon Sims Thomas is that success is positively correlated with humility and gratitude.
In his free time, Tony likes to attend Formula-1, American Le-Mans and Vintage Rally Racing.
