SST welcomed five new employees in September, Bridget Losa, Millie Guidry, Benson Okumu, Jeanne Michaud and Jordyn Tutt.
Bridget joins us with over 20 years’ experience providing auditing services to a range of industries, including nonprofits and associations. She grew up in Houston, and graduated from Texas State University with a degree in accounting. In her free time, she likes to visit her three daughters at college and go to football games. She is also a walker/runner, marking about 10 miles on weekends with her husband. In the summer, you may find her at the beach.
Millie joins Salmon Sims Thomas with over 20 years’ accounting experience in various industries from restaurants to accounting firm management. She grew up in Florence, SC, and graduated from Francis Marion University in South Carolina with a degree in Accounting. She likes to be outdoors in her free time – hunting, camping, biking, or hiking – she enjoys it all. She also supports her kids as much as possible, which includes many hours of tennis matches and band concerts. Millie says, “I always love to try new experiences and will pretty much try anything at least once (as long as there are no snakes involved).”
Benson is a senior auditor on the audit team. He grew up in Kenya and the U.S. In addition to English, he also speaks Swahili. Benson earned a BS in Banking & Finance from Lincoln University in Pennsylvania, and also holds an MBA in Finance from Wilmington University in Delaware. In his free time, he enjoys hanging out with his wife and daughter, and watching or playing soccer.
Jeanne is on the audit team, and joins us with extensive audit experience. She grew up in central Illinois, and graduated from the University of Illinois at Springfield with a Bachelor in Accountancy. When not working, Jeanne enjoys cooking, reading, and listening to podcasts. She is especially interested in continuing to learn about investing and finance.
Jordyn takes care of administrative duties at Salmon Sims Thomas. She was born in Connecticut, and raised in Texas for most of her life. She graduated from Marcus High School in Flower Mound in 2014, and plans to continue her education next year at University of Texas, Arlington. Her favorite free time hobby is drawing, and she also enjoys crafting, shopping, and gaming.
